Hammersmith Academy Sixth Form

Ash was appointed the contract to deliver extension and refurbishment works for Hammersmith Academy in London. Works comprised of the installation of a new mezzanine floor above the fitness suite to create a new sixth form tutor room and resource centre, which will be used for special educational purposes. The original high ceiling from the gym below was kept in place forming the new ceiling across both new classrooms. Within the mechanical & electrical package air conditioning and data points were provided to all new classrooms and offices. Further works, included the formation of a new access from the first-floor corridor with the addition of smaller staff rooms, which will be used for 'hot desks'.
