Ash are pleased to announce that this year we will be fundraising to support Alzheimer’s Society.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia to create a society where those affected are supported and able to live without fear or prejudice. Additionally, they ensure support is given to those in contact with the disease to limit the impact as much as possible.
In spring of 2020 long-standing Site Manager Neil Gorrod will be trekking to Everest Base Camp. Neil will be raising money for Alzheimer’s Society in memory of his mum who sadly passed on as a result of the disease last year.
Here are a few words from the man himself:
“My mother died last November from Alzheimer's. Mum had suffered from this illness for 13 years before it finally took her. Unfortunately, we all have someone or know someone who at some point will be affected by this terrible disease. So friends, please help me raise money for this worthwhile charity. Thanks in advance.”
Alzheimer's is a horrible disease, the ones we love don’t lose a battle –they are slowly and painfully taken from us.
Unfortunately, all those who are in contact with dementia are affected, our fundraising efforts will go directly towards finding a cure so no one has to suffer through this.
We hope you will join us in supporting Alzheimer's society throughout the year, thank you in advance for your donations.
